Why we quote instead of publishing prices
Electronics pricing changes with supply, exchange rates and manufacturer programs. Quoting from live stock gives you an accurate, firm price rather than a list that is out of date the week it is published.
What a quote includes
- Unit price per line, in CAD or USD
- Condition grade and warranty coverage
- Available quantity and lead time
- Estimated shipping cost and method
- Validity period
Quote validity
Quotes are valid for the period printed on them, typically 3 business days for in-stock items. Prices on fast-moving products may be held for a shorter period.
Volume pricing
Pricing improves with quantity and with consistent ordering. Full-case and full-pallet quantities receive the best pricing. Ask about quarterly volume agreements if you buy regularly.
Currency
We quote in Canadian dollars by default and in US dollars on request. The invoice currency is fixed at the time of the quote.
What affects your price
| Factor | Effect on price |
|---|---|
| Quantity | Full cartons and full pallets are cheaper per unit than broken cases. |
| Condition grade | Open box and refurbished grades are priced below new. |
| Region version | Some regional configurations cost more or less depending on supply. |
| Manufacturer programs | Promotions, rebates and end-of-life pricing are passed on when available. |
| Payment method | Card payments on large orders may carry a processing fee; wire transfer does not. |
| Exchange rate | USD-priced stock quoted in CAD follows the exchange rate at quote time. |
Advertised pricing (MAP) and brand rules
Many manufacturers set minimum advertised prices or marketplace selling rules for authorized resellers. When a product we supply carries such a policy, we tell you on the quote. Following these rules protects your account with the brand and keeps the product available to you.
Thinking in landed cost
The unit price is only part of your cost. To compare suppliers fairly, add freight, duties (for cross-border orders), environmental handling fees, payment fees and any marketplace prep. We quote freight and fees up front so you can calculate landed cost before you commit.
Competitive quotes
If you have a written quote from another authorized source for the same MPN, condition and quantity, send it to us. We review every competitive quote and will tell you honestly whether we can match it.
How to get the best quote
- List exact MPNs and quantities.
- State acceptable condition grades and region versions.
- Tell us your delivery deadline and destination.
- Mention if you buy the same items regularly, so we can quote volume pricing.
