Category and brand approval
Some electronics categories and many brands are restricted on Amazon. To sell them, Amazon may ask for invoices showing you bought the products from a manufacturer or distributor. Requirements change and vary by brand and marketplace, but invoices are commonly expected to:
- Be recent (often within the last 180 days)
- Show your business name and address matching your seller account
- Show the supplier's full name, address, phone, email and website
- List products and quantities clearly
Check the current requirements in Seller Central before you order. We can provide invoices formatted with full company details.
Authenticity complaints
If a buyer or brand reports a listing, Amazon may ask for proof of authenticity. Keep invoices and serial number lists for every unit. Stock from authorized suppliers is your strongest defence.
FBA prep
| Requirement | Who handles it |
|---|---|
| FNSKU unit labels | We apply them if you send label files |
| Polybags and warnings | Applied to the ASINs that need them |
| Carton weight and size limits | Built to the fulfilment centre's rules |
| Shipment ID carton labels | Applied from your shipment plan |
| Lithium battery information | You declare it in Seller Central; we provide model battery details |
Brand pricing rules
Many brands publish minimum advertised prices or authorized marketplace lists. Selling below MAP or on an unapproved marketplace can lead to the brand restricting your supply. We flag these rules on quotes.
Keep good records
Store invoices, packing lists and serial lists for at least as long as you sell the product, and longer for warranty. Marketplace requests can come months after a sale.
