Shipping to the United States

We prepare a commercial invoice with HS codes, country of origin and values for every US shipment. Most consumer electronics qualify for duty-free entry or reduced duty depending on origin; the importer of record is responsible for duties and any brokerage fees.

Incoterms

TermMeaning
EXW MontrealYou collect from our warehouse and handle all freight and customs.
FCA MontrealWe hand goods to your carrier, cleared for export.
DAPWe deliver to your address; you pay duties and taxes on import.
DDPDelivered with duties paid. Available on request for some destinations.

International orders

We ship internationally by air and ocean freight. Buyers must confirm that products meet local certification, power and language requirements.

Export controls

We comply with Canadian export and sanctions laws and will not ship to restricted parties or destinations. We may ask for end-use information on certain products.

Export documents we provide

  • Commercial invoice with HS codes, values and country of origin
  • Packing list with carton and pallet weights and dimensions
  • Serial number list
  • Canadian export declaration (CERS) when required
  • Certificate of origin on request

USMCA / CUSMA

Many electronics are made in Asia and do not qualify as originating goods under USMCA, even when shipped from Canada. Duty treatment depends on each product's country of origin, which we state on every invoice.

Selling into the EU and UK

The importer of record must meet local rules, including CE or UKCA marking, WEEE registration and battery regulations. Products we export to Europe are the region versions with the correct plugs, keyboards and documentation where available.

Working with customs brokers

Tell us your broker's name and contact details when you order. We send them the documents in advance, which speeds up clearance and avoids storage charges at the border.

Restricted items

Some products, such as certain drones and networking equipment, may need export screening or end-use information. We will tell you during quoting if an item needs extra checks.
